Charlie's View of His World

I am pretty comfortable in my world, although some times I am exasperated with Jean as she oftentimes pays more attention to Amos, Charlie and now Merry Weather, than me. I love the verandahhh where I snooze all day and can look out to the canal in the backyard and watch the birds and consider whether or not to harass them. Usually Simba, who is only about 4 years old, does that for me. He is a pretty childish cat but I try to ignore him. I am a pretty wise old guy at age 18.

The politics in this neighborhood are pretty liberal with lots of other cats who think they are cool! That's okay because I just ignore them and let Amos and Simba fight my battles for me. I'm in charge here at home and have finally gotten over the need to loudly express my views to other cats who just don't seem to get it.

You will see my comments on a regular basis on this blog and if you read them carefully, you may learn something useful.

Television and the News

I watch Fox news on a regular basis, although I check in with CNN, MSNBC and a few other local news channels. I like the O'Reilly Factor and the early morning Fox News broadcasts. I do believe that the Fox News channel has the best lineup of broadcasters in the television newscasting business. They are sharp, attractive and intelligent. I especially like O'Reilly and E.D. Hill.

I am disappointed in most of the news channels, including Fox. There is not enough international news presented and there is too much focus on things that don't matter. These subjects relate to models, actresses and other celebrities.
